I was tempted by the bigger 800 version, but this 500 model fits better in our cupboard.The softener was very simple to fit.Immediately our water hardness came down from over 400 to between 0-25 (difficult to be exact on our test strips). I’ve had my water softener system for just over 5 months now and I believe that it’s been a really good purchase. I originally had a quotation from the most prominent company that hires you the machine and uses their own shaped salt block to ensure... that you are locked into a very expensive system after shelling out a hefty setup and install fee.Water2Buy provides all the same results at a fraction of the cost. Living in a new build in London; with a centralised heating system, I was reluctant to do the install myself and so I used one of their approved plumbers. The process was easy and quick with really good communication from Water2Buy throughout and even after. The results are really good; no limescale, softer skin straight out of the shower/bath and I feel more confident about turning the boiler off over the summer without worrying that things will seize. I have recommended getting a water softener to friends and family and now I thought I’d mention it here after a good trial period.read more

Very pleased with the performance of the Water2Buy softener. I installed it myself under my kitchen sink unit as shown in the photo and have been pleasantly surprised at how little salt it uses. The difference between the softened water and the... naturally hard water in the area in which I live is very noticeable even if you're just washing your hands. I am putting this review after using it for an year as I was bit hesitant with the quality of the softener. I can now recommend the product and a really happy customer with no lime scales. Its much cheaper than market giants and does the same job.... Another advantage is any salts can be used.Cons - I opted for Pro installation (+£230) but the person who came to install asked extra £40 for parts. Also he didn't install the 'Under sink water filter'. I reported this to customer care multiple times but the installer never came to fix and finally ended up doing it myself. Either Water2Buy need to provide professional installers or better to find your own plumber to do the job.read more

I've had my water2buy softner for six years with no problems. Then I started getting resin coming from the taps. I rang the team and they explained that the resin had expanded over time, and crushed the filter on the upstand pipe inside. This was... because it should have been cleaned with a resin conditioner once a year. Which I didn't know, and had not done. They explained what I needed to do and sent me a new pipe and new resin. I did as instructed, and it is all now working fine again. I was very pleased with the service. Sometimes it was hard to communicate via email. But once it was worked out what was needed, it was all sorted with no quibble. I only wish more companies still gave this sort of service, 6 years after you had bought their product. This is our first water softener and it has been money well spent. Since fitting this product my water is much softer. I was amazed to see instant results using the testing kit that is included in the box. The hard water was making my skin dry and... brittle. Since fitting the softener, my skin is now much healthier and shinier. Also we no longer have limescale buildup in my bathroom, making it much quicker and easier to clean. There was a slight delay in salt delivery but customer service team were quick to respond and provide a positive resolution.read more

Does the trick.My plumber installed this water softener and said that it is a good machine and easy to install and set up.After about a week, we could really notice the effectiveness of the system. Our shower is clean, the top shower spray is... clean and the water comes out in straight lines!The dish washer is cleaner. Washing hair is easy and doesn't require after shampoo. we are going to save a lot of money on cleaning products that we now do not need. Every home should have a WTB water softener. It's a necessity.read more

Just a quick review of Water2Buy W2B800 water softener.I bought this water softener from Water2Buy directly.I decided to go for the largest one (designed for 10 people) even though we are only 2 people living in my household. That was because I... read on the internet that the larger the water softener, the cheaper it is to run, as it will have to regenerate less frequently than a smaller water softener. Hence it uses less water and less salt over the same period of time comparing to a smaller unit. Well, this is what I know, but I could be wrong. At the same time I don’t have space constraints, so I don’t mind a tall unit.The build quality is very good. The body is made of relatively thick and solid material. The resin tank takes 25 litres (20KG) of resin. The control unit and the plumbing parts seem to be well made. So, I am pleased with it. Well I like the colours too :-)One of the advantages of this unit is it needs 1/2 inch hoses for both drain and overflow lines. So I don’t need to buy new expensive hoses. Any lousy garden hose can do the job. These houses are used for waste water, so they don’t have to be clean or perfect.It was delivered by DPD only a couple of days after I put my order through their website.I intend to install it myself, as it is relatively easy to install I definitely don’t need a plumber to do the work for me. Well, if a plumber can, then I can too. I have already bought isolation valves and a few other plumbing bits and pieces that I will need to use for installation.N.B. The communications with their staff was very easy. They quickly pick up the phone and answer question. They are also very quick to respond to my emails. They answered all of my questions even the challenging ones. It was really pleasure talking to them. Actually one day they even gave me a call to explain the details to one of my difficult technical question. Frankly they really deserve to be thanked for these efforts.So in brief the build quality is really good and the customer support staff are really pleasant to deal with.At the present time, I can’t comment on the operation of the unit, as I still haven’t installed it. But I am optimistic. I will update this review after I use the system for a few months.But from experience, I still can say, definitely recommended without any doubt.read more

I called Water2buy before making my purchase to check the specification and application, as I knew almost nothing about water softeners, the phone was answered by a human who was extremely helpful and seemed knowledgeable about the products which... was reassuring. I live in a hard water area and ordered a W2B200 Water Softener, it arrived quickly, was well packed, contained simple instructions and best of all the Water2buy website has very useful videos on how to install and setup their softeners. After watching the various videos installation was straightforward, see the included photo’s, I isolated the supply and used compression fittings to add the softener into the cold water supply, I then followed another of the Water2buy videos to setup (programme) the softener, added salt and hey presto all is working and after a week or so of using the W2B200 the water is noticeably softer. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the service received from Water2buy and their website was second to none, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Water2buy and their products - five stars.read more

Purchased W2B500 Water Softener through Amazon to replace a block water softener that had stopped working and wasn't worth repairing. Their prices were far more competitive than anything else I could find and the reviews were generally positive. The... softener itself arrived a few days later and the installation itself took about 2 hours as I didn't have to change any of the existing pipework. It's now been in for nearly 7 months and the salt running costs are significantly lower than my old block water softener given that it uses less salt and a 25kg bag of salt pellets is far cheaper than 3 x 8Kg blocks (£10 vs £20.87). I'd also add that the capacity and throughput is far greater than our old softener which in turn means the showers have more pressure and flow. Overall highly recommend their softeners.read more

Love water2buy. I brought the biggest water softner which has been awesome. It was easy to install and love the fact that it can take 2, 25kg bags of salt (from nearly empty) which lasts ages. It's been 3 weeks since we installed W2B500 water softener and we are very happy that we bought it. I did check Harveys, but their hidden hiked-up price quotes, superficial discounts, and many bad reviews on customer service post-sale, we decided... to go with Water2buy which is simple and honest in their sales of water softeners here in the UK.W2B also advises using resin cleaner once in 6months etc, whereas our friends using Harveys did not receive any such advice and we could see their softener is not working as well as it used to be when new.The w2b softener setup is easy and nicely explained in the YouTube videos. It's definitely the best quality one. It reduced water hardness from "Very Hard" 300+ ppm to 0 ppm. Also, the regeneration is done only when required and for 2 of us, it takes about 5 days to regenerate, as we are conscious not to waste water in any of our usages. We need hard water for the Kitchen sink, hence using a plumber to lay the pipework and using a w2b water filter for drinking water, which is cheap and good quality for the money.The customer service team is very helpful and practical in all their suggestions. Very swift and respectful in all their communications.Would definitely recommend W2B water softeners !read more

I have two RO600 osmotic filtration systems, in different houses, both drawing from a 100m bore hole in Portugal. The water from the bore hole is probably safe, as far as I know, but it is mineral rich and *may* contain other undesirables, such as... the weedkiller glyphosate, which is heavily used here.The systems are brilliant, the water comes out clear and taste free, and is easier to drink than any other water I have tried. With a cheap electronic tester, I found that the RO water had less particulates than mountain spring water (from Facha, Viana do Castelo) and less than distilled water from the supermarket. Consequently I also use it in my solar power battery bank without hesitation.I needed some spare parts recently, they were sent FOC and with free delivery from Ireland (not UK after Brexit). The customer service has been faultless (thanks Steve).read more

This is the 2nd unit I've bought personally for my own home. (Moved house in case you're wondering)But because I had a softener, my home's value had increased.Bought numerous units for private installations of the same type.Once you set it up... (majority come already preset and well within the region that I would have set them anyway).All you do is add salt. And that's pretty much it! Lovely soft water, clean clear shower screens and never have to de-scale the shower head or taps again.Appliances last much longer and the dishwasher and washing machine use less soap.Every home should have one!read more

Purchased this, after reading good reviews, to replace an existing softener which had failed. Very pleased with the speed of delivery and ease of installation. Needed to purchase the separate installation kit as well because the unit doesn’t come... with hoses. Mine is a newer model that doesn’t have an overflow, something I discovered after trying to find out where to connect the overflow hose. Comes configured with default settings which can be changed to suit your water system.read more

Hace 2 años instalé un descalcificador Water2buy 200 en mi piso y el sistema marcha muy bien reduciendo calcáreo del agua dura de Valencia (+/- 250 ppm) lo que es muy importante para mejorar el desempeño de la caldera, lavadora de ropa y la... cualidad del baño (en especial para la hidratación del pelo). Con las tiras de prueba se puede confirmar con precisión el ajuste de la descalcificación del agua. The water softner is perfect and leave no more limescale around the sink or bathroom, the water is silky so that no need to put body lotion aftrer bath or shower. My dishwasher was working on and off as had water flow fault , since I have installed... the water2buy water softner it works perfect, it seems that all the lime scale inside the machine washed out.I recommend to everyone to have a water softner installed at home. I am quite happy with this brand, However had two issues for the installation. The manual looks a bit complicated in some points, it does not explain anything about the service knob so I did know how I should deal with it, i was wondering should set it to a certain point or leave it as it is, the second issue is that this machine does not come with installation kit and took me time to find out that they sell it separately online but it was too late as I got them from different source.Thank you for reading my reviewread more

I bought my water softener and reverse osmosis system back in 2012 and the softener has only let me down twice in that time. 1st time was a flow meter failure (not a fault of the component but due to lime build up on part) and the 2nd time was a... regulator breakage (due to age). We had been having trouble wth dry skin and iritations but since we installed the softener all skin issues cleared up within days. Drinking water is also clear and tastes... great . I have had both the water softener system and a reverse osmosis water filter system which have both worked admirably now for over a year. I have had to call their customer service three times during this period. (twice during installation) and once... when a filter cartridge failed. My calls were handled immediately and I recieved a resolution there and then, with replacement items shipped to me without a quibble and even though I am in another country I had free delivery as well. I got my reverse osmosis filter from water2buy good few years ago. Got it delivered home within couple of days. Had to get help to install it at first as I'm not a plumber, but ever since then, I'm changing the filters all by myself and enjoy the... pure water from the tab. We use it to cook and drink and my kettle has no limescale at all! Two months ago I bought and installed a water softener (type W2B500)So far everything works perfectly and flawlessly.The salt consumption is minimal, as is the rinsing moisture.No errors, nor shortcomings.The company follows everything closely,... and provides feedback and support if necessary.The only thing that I have changed and added is an extra shut-off valve, with drain valve, so that I can more easily monitor and control the water softness. (see picture).An idea for the next version: a sensor and notification on the app that salt level needs to be topped up is also a nice gadget/addition.But anyway: An example of service! and solid product!read more

Nach langen Googeln im Net habe ich mich für die Water2Bay Anlage entschieden.Sie läuft bis jetzt seit 3 Wochen ohne Probleme . Anfänglich hat das Wasser irgendwie moderig geschmeckt, aber nach 2 Spülungen die ich von Hand angestoßen habe kann... ich keinen Unterschied mehr feststellen.Über die Haltbarkeit usw. kann ich heute leider noch nichts sagen werde ich aber in nem halben Jahr nachholen. Ich habe die Härte von über 15dH auf 5-7dH eingestellt siehe Bilder. Wenn Ihr überlegt eine Enthärtungsanlage zu kaufen sprecht bitte mit dem Installateur vorher darüber. Bei mir im Haus habe ich alles in Edelstahl somit habe ich keinen Lochfraß wenn der dH Wert sehr niedrig ist. Gruß M.W.read more

Just purchased the W2B800 Water Softener, my diy installation is now complete it's working well. The unit is well put together and given the price comparison with others it represents excellent value.Whilst there are just the two of us in the house... we do occasionally have up to 8 or more, in addition our consumption is around half a cubic metre a day and we therefore chose the larger unit as we are not constrained by the need for it to go under the sink and our old unit (20 years old) could only cope with 1300 litres between regenerations. It will be interesting to see how the W2B800 performs over the long term but for now, at least, things auger well on that front.read more

The videos for troubleshooting are exceptionally... helpful.The plumber did not not turn the valves on (by mistake), hence the system was not working. Ich bin der Funktion des Geräts bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Die Installation war überschaubar und die Einstellungen mit der BNT Bedienungsanleitung auch machbar. Die Installation des Montageblock musste ein Installateur machen (Pressmuffen und... Kunststoffleitungen) der Rest war relativ einfach. Der Salzverbrauch war bisher 2 Säcke auf 3 Monate bei einem 4 Personenhaushalt. Alle sind begeistert vom weichem Wasser , vorher 21 dh jetzt 7 dh.Folgende Punkte sind dennoch Verbesserungsbedürftig:- Verpackung ; Packet war beschädigt wie bei vielen Anderen (Grund billige Verpackung) besseres Material und ein Kantenschutz wären gut . Die Diskussion mit dem Packet dienst müsste nicht sein , nach schauen ob die Ware beschädigt ist, ist auf jeden Fall anzuraten (grüne Abdeckhaube defekt ?).- Eine Aussagekräftige Bedienungsanleitung wäre sinnvoll , andere Könnens auch (BNT)- Kunststoffverschraubungen am Steuerventil , da wir am falschem Ende gespart.- DVGW Zertifizierung wäre nicht schlecht , der Installateur sagt er darf die Anlage nicht anschließen.read more

Tolles Gerät zum kleinen Preis. Macht was es soll. Salzverbrauch ist unterhalb dessen, was ich selbst vermutet habe. Bis jetzt (6 Wochen), habe ich erst einen halben 25 kg sack verbraucht. Einstellung des Härtegrades macht sich am besten mit einem... Gesamthärte Messbesteck, was es hier bei amazon für ca. 10 Euro gibt. Beim Water2buy Anschlußset mit Gewebeschlauch würde ich persönlich abraten und lieber im deutschen Fachhandel die Gewebeschläuche kaufen. Die Anlage selbst kann wirklich durch Nichthandwerker installierrt werden, allerdings Grundkenntnisse vom Sanitär müssen vorhanden sein.read more

This is our first water softener and it has been money well spent. Since fitting this product my water is much softer. I was amazed to see instant results using the testing kit that is included in the box. The hard water was making my skin dry and... brittle. Since fitting the softener, my skin is now much healthier and shinier. Also we no longer have limescale buildup in my bathroom, making it much quicker and easier to clean. There was a slight delay in salt delivery but customer service team were quick to respond and provide a positive resolution.read more

Recently I ordered the Easy1 water filter to improve the taste of my mains drinking water. It doesn't need electricity to drive it. Installation was simple, a friend drilled a hole for the supplied tap, which looks like a really expensive item. It... works and I am happy. I have two RO600 osmotic filtration systems, in different houses, both drawing from a 100m bore hole in Portugal. The water from the bore hole is probably safe, as far as I know, but it is mineral rich and *may* contain other undesirables, such as... the weedkiller glyphosate, which is heavily used here.
The systems are brilliant, the water comes out clear and taste free, and is easier to drink than any other water I have tried. With a cheap electronic tester, I found that the RO water had less particulates than mountain spring water (from Facha, Viana do Castelo) and less than distilled water from the supermarket. Consequently I also use it in my solar power battery bank without hesitation.
I needed some spare parts recently, they were sent FOC and with free delivery from Ireland (not UK after Brexit). The customer service has been faultless (thanks Steve).read more

I bought a self- install reverse osmosis kit from this company. It was very well priced. The unit itself is very well made also. Installing the filter takes a bit of time but the instructions are clear and you have a few different options to connect... to the water feed. The beauty of this system is that you don't have to pay huge amounts of money every year for an engineer to come and service the filter. You do it yourself! I bought my water softener and reverse osmosis system back in 2012 and the softener has only let me down twice in that time. 1st time was a flow meter failure (not a fault of the component but due to lime build up on part) and the 2nd time was a... regulator breakage (due to age). Each time I was able to get help from the team who were very helpful and were able to supply the replacement part to repair my system.read more

I got my reverse osmosis filter from water2buy good few years ago. Had to get help to install it at first as I'm not a plumber, but ever since then, I'm changing the filters all by myself and enjoy the pure water from the tab. We use it to cook and... drink and my kettle has no limescale at all! Once had a problem with pressure, but Steven resolved the issue immediately and helped me all the way!
