If you have 3/4 in pipes, then buy 3/4 hoses and connect them to 3/4 water softener connection fittings.
What is Regeneration?
Regeneration is the cleaning process where salt is used to wash the resin in your water softener. The resin is the part that actually removes limescale. After regeneration, a water softener can produce its full capacity of soft water without needing to regenerate again. Regeneration is often called backwash. A backwash takes about 30 minutes and usually performs when the water is not in use.
What’s The difference between a timer and a meter?
‘Timer’ or ‘Meter’ refers to the regeneration type. A Timer water softener regenerates every few days regardless of water usage. So a timer will always regenerate and use salt even if it’s capable of producing more soft water. This means a timer uses more salt and water than a meter. A Meter Softeners measures your water usage and counts down the soft water capacity it has left. It only performs a regeneration when there is no softening capacity left, making it more efficient.

Water Softener Connection Fittings. The fittings on a water2buy softener are inexpensive and interchangeable. So you can buy different size fittings if you need to. This makes Water2Buy water softeners compatible with all plumbing. Water2Buy water softeners come with 1 set of fittings included, check the listing for the size included.
You will need a waste pipe, the water softener flushes brine out of the waste pipe during its Regeneration.
Over flow pipe, Overflow pipes allow water to overflow to a safe location in case of a malfunction.
By-pass valve. Your local plumbing code may require you to install a by-pass valve before your water softener. A by-pass valve allows you to by-pass the water softener in the event of a problem. Water2Buy Models (W2B180, W2B200, W2B500, W2B780, W2B800) come with a free by-pass valve pre fitted so there is no need to purchase an extra valve or mounting block
Salt. Your water softener consumes Water2Buy Crystal salt. You can buy or subscribe to Water2buy salt.
Combi-boilers and pressure: Water softeners so not have an effect on water pressure so they can be installed with a combi-boiler.
Noise: Water softeners don’t make any noise while in normal softening mode, during regeneration they make a noise similar to a dish washer.

The installation was very easy as I had previously had a softener installed so that the plumbing was in place. The only drawback to the softener is that having programmed it to regenerate 3am any power cuts or outages effects the timing, and I get... plenty of those, unless you keep reprogramming the timer it regenerates at all sorts of times. A internal backup clock battery would be an improvement.read more

I bought a WB800 and it arrived promtly via Amazon delivery to London. Plumber also recommended this as it has an internal bypass (not sure what that means).Since install and commission its been fairly straight forward with the use of the... app/website. Just a note that the pipes are 28mm so I had buy an additional 22mm installation kit... and then only discovered that it didnt contain the fitting to connect to the rear of the unit, and had to buy the 22mm - 28mm connector. I called up as the delivery was delayed and they were kindly enough to refund the connector but not delivery charge - still ok - just bear that in mind if you order the WB800 and dont have 28mm connections (which I gather is most homes)read more

OK, so we had a few annoying problems with delivery - down to the courier company, not the fault of W2B but it was sorted after a few days.I ordered the installation kit at extra cost as I did not want to make any mistakes with wrong hoses etc.... Installation was, quite frankly, simple and anyone with basic DIY skills could manage it. Just follow the Video or the enclosed instructions.We bought this because the area where we live has very, very hard water and we descale the kettle on an almost weekly basis. I dread to think what the washing machine will be like.The unit's only been installed a few days but already there is a noticeable difference to the water quality. I may have set it to "over soften" the water at the moment but there is no after taste and no taste of salt, which we were concerned about as we have friends who's water does taste slightly salty (they use a different, older softener which is the probably the cause).Will keep monitoring things for a few weeks and will amend this review if anything changes. In the meantime, definitely recommend this.read more

Nach anfänglichen "Missverständnissen" kam der W2B800 letzte Woche endlich an. Der Einbau war durch "meinen" Klempner schnell erledigt. Seitdem läuft die Enthärtung ohne Probleme. Technisch ist das Gerät sehr zu empfehlen. Der Härtegrad lässt sich... von 0-12 sehr gut einstellen an der Stellschraube. Wer es Härter braucht, muss über die Ventile zumischen, was aber auch kein Problem darstellt.read more

I’ve had my water softener system for just over 5 months now and I believe that it’s been a really good purchase. I originally had a quotation from the most prominent company that hires you the machine and uses their own shaped salt block to ensure... that you are locked into a very expensive system after shelling out a hefty setup and install fee.Water2Buy provides all the same results at a fraction of the cost. Living in a new build in London; with a centralised heating system, I was reluctant to do the install myself and so I used one of their approved plumbers. The process was easy and quick with really good communication from Water2Buy throughout and even after. The results are really good; no limescale, softer skin straight out of the shower/bath and I feel more confident about turning the boiler off over the summer without worrying that things will seize. I have recommended getting a water softener to friends and family and now I thought I’d mention it here after a good trial period.read more

I am putting this review after using it for an year as I was bit hesitant with the quality of the softener. I can now recommend the product and a really happy customer with no lime scales. Its much cheaper than market giants and does the same job.... Another advantage is any salts can be used.Cons - I opted for Pro installation (+£230) but the person who came to install asked extra £40 for parts. Also he didn't install the 'Under sink water filter'. I reported this to customer care multiple times but the installer never came to fix and finally ended up doing it myself. Either Water2Buy need to provide professional installers or better to find your own plumber to do the job.read more

J'avais fait le test de dureté avant avec plus de... 2 sur 4, après un jour d'utilisation, le résultat était de 0 sur 4, parfait ! I was amazed to see instant results using the testing kit that is included in the box. The hard water was making my skin dry and... brittle. I have two RO600 osmotic filtration systems, in different houses, both drawing from a 100m bore hole in Portugal. The water from the bore hole is probably safe, as far as I know, but it is mineral rich and *may* contain other undesirables, such as... the weedkiller glyphosate, which is heavily used here.
The systems are brilliant, the water comes out clear and taste free, and is easier to drink than any other water I have tried. With a cheap electronic tester, I found that the RO water had less particulates than mountain spring water (from Facha, Viana do Castelo) and less than distilled water from the supermarket. Consequently I also use it in my solar power battery bank without hesitation.
I needed some spare parts recently, they were sent FOC and with free delivery from Ireland (not UK after Brexit). The customer service has been faultless (thanks Steve).read more

Questions about install location and parts
Connection hoses are needed, we recommend steel braided flexible hoses. You’ll need 2 hoses one in and one out. The first hose connects your mains hard water supply to your water softener. The second returns soft water from your water softener to your water system. Buy the same size hoses as your pipes.E.g. If you have 3/4 in pipes, then buy 3/4 hoses and connect them to 3/4 water softener connection fittings.
What is Regeneration?
Regeneration is the cleaning process where salt is used to wash the resin in your water softener. The resin is the part that actually removes limescale. After regeneration, a water softener can produce its full capacity of soft water without needing to regenerate again. Regeneration is often called backwash. A backwash takes about 30 minutes and usually performs when the water is not in use.
What’s The difference between a timer and a meter?
‘Timer’ or ‘Meter’ refers to the regeneration type. A Timer water softener regenerates every few days regardless of water usage. So a timer will always regenerate and use salt even if it’s capable of producing more soft water. This means a timer uses more salt and water than a meter. A Meter Softeners measures your water usage and counts down the soft water capacity it has left. It only performs a regeneration when there is no softening capacity left, making it more efficient.

Water Softener Connection Fittings. The fittings on a water2buy softener are inexpensive and interchangeable. So you can buy different size fittings if you need to. You will need a waste pipe, the water softener flushes brine out of the waste pipe during its Regeneration.
Over flow pipe, Overflow pipes allow water to overflow to a safe location in case of a malfunction.
By-pass valve. Your local plumbing code may require you to install a by-pass valve before your water softener. A by-pass valve allows you to by-pass the water softener in the event of a problem. Water2Buy Models (W2B180, W2B200, W2B500, W2B780, W2B800) come with a free by-pass valve pre fitted so there is no need to purchase an extra valve or mounting block
Salt. Your water softener consumes Water2Buy Crystal salt. You can buy or subscribe to Water2buy salt.
Combi-boilers and pressure: Water softeners so not have an effect on water pressure so they can be installed with a combi-boiler.
Noise: Water softeners don’t make any noise while in normal softening mode, during regeneration they make a noise similar to a dish washer.

The installation was very easy as I had previously had a softener installed so that the plumbing was in place. The only drawback to the softener is that having programmed it to regenerate 3am any power cuts or outages effects the timing, and I get... plenty of those, unless you keep reprogramming the timer it regenerates at all sorts of times. A internal backup clock battery would be an improvement.read more

I bought a WB800 and it arrived promtly via Amazon delivery to London. Plumber also recommended this as it has an internal bypass (not sure what that means).Since install and commission its been fairly straight forward with the use of the... app/website. Just a note that the pipes are 28mm so I had buy an additional 22mm installation kit... and then only discovered that it didnt contain the fitting to connect to the rear of the unit, and had to buy the 22mm - 28mm connector. I called up as the delivery was delayed and they were kindly enough to refund the connector but not delivery charge - still ok - just bear that in mind if you order the WB800 and dont have 28mm connections (which I gather is most homes)read more

OK, so we had a few annoying problems with delivery - down to the courier company, not the fault of W2B but it was sorted after a few days.I ordered the installation kit at extra cost as I did not want to make any mistakes with wrong hoses etc.... Installation was, quite frankly, simple and anyone with basic DIY skills could manage it. Just follow the Video or the enclosed instructions.We bought this because the area where we live has very, very hard water and we descale the kettle on an almost weekly basis. I dread to think what the washing machine will be like.The unit's only been installed a few days but already there is a noticeable difference to the water quality. I may have set it to "over soften" the water at the moment but there is no after taste and no taste of salt, which we were concerned about as we have friends who's water does taste slightly salty (they use a different, older softener which is the probably the cause).Will keep monitoring things for a few weeks and will amend this review if anything changes. In the meantime, definitely recommend this.read more

Nach anfänglichen "Missverständnissen" kam der W2B800 letzte Woche endlich an. Der Einbau war durch "meinen" Klempner schnell erledigt. Seitdem läuft die Enthärtung ohne Probleme. Technisch ist das Gerät sehr zu empfehlen. Der Härtegrad lässt sich... von 0-12 sehr gut einstellen an der Stellschraube. Wer es Härter braucht, muss über die Ventile zumischen, was aber auch kein Problem darstellt.read more

I’ve had my water softener system for just over 5 months now and I believe that it’s been a really good purchase. I originally had a quotation from the most prominent company that hires you the machine and uses their own shaped salt block to ensure... that you are locked into a very expensive system after shelling out a hefty setup and install fee.Water2Buy provides all the same results at a fraction of the cost. Living in a new build in London; with a centralised heating system, I was reluctant to do the install myself and so I used one of their approved plumbers. The process was easy and quick with really good communication from Water2Buy throughout and even after. The results are really good; no limescale, softer skin straight out of the shower/bath and I feel more confident about turning the boiler off over the summer without worrying that things will seize. I have recommended getting a water softener to friends and family and now I thought I’d mention it here after a good trial period.read more

I am putting this review after using it for an year as I was bit hesitant with the quality of the softener. I can now recommend the product and a really happy customer with no lime scales. Its much cheaper than market giants and does the same job.... Another advantage is any salts can be used.Cons - I opted for Pro installation (+£230) but the person who came to install asked extra £40 for parts. Also he didn't install the 'Under sink water filter'. I reported this to customer care multiple times but the installer never came to fix and finally ended up doing it myself. Either Water2Buy need to provide professional installers or better to find your own plumber to do the job.read more

Service d'expédition rapide et soigné, l'installation de l'adoucisseur W2B800 n'est pas bien compliquée et la documentation en français est plutôt clair. Concernant les résultats, ils sont bien la ! J'avais fait le test de dureté avant avec plus de... 2 sur 4, après un jour d'utilisation, le résultat était de 0 sur 4, parfait ! Par contre j'avoue avoir été surpris, à la mise en route de l'adoucisseur, mon eau était terriblement blanche, je suppose que le système avait besoin d'être rincé et utilisé un petit peu. Disappointing customer service - Order placed 22 October, email stating there was a 24-48 hour delay received 26 October this seems to be standard as i received the same email for a previous order. Email saying order dispatched 31 October delivery... by 4th November the tracking did not work on the email, nothing has arrived it’s 8th November. We have had the Reverse osmosis system for almost 3yrs, we are on our own well and having had the water sampled decided to fit this system. This is our first water softener and it has been money well spent. Since fitting this product my water is much softer. I was amazed to see instant results using the testing kit that is included in the box. The hard water was making my skin dry and... brittle. Since fitting the softener, my skin is now much healthier and shinier. Also we no longer have limescale buildup in my bathroom, making it much quicker and easier to clean. There was a slight delay in salt delivery but customer service team were quick to respond and provide a positive resolution.read more

I have had a water softener and a 5-stage osmosis system for over a year now all from Water 2 Buy. The products are great easy to maintain and I have just replaced the yearly filters on my osmosis system. Very please, I phone them to ask a question... about the water softener before installing was unsure on one thing. They were friendly and helpful. Great company, so nice dealing with them.read more

Ho preso il modello W2B800 da quando l’ho installato ho visto un notevole miglioramento della qualità dell’acqua.
L’installazione è stata abbastanza semplice, come la configurazione grazie all’app dedicata. Addio calcare… lo consiglio certamente.

Ho comprato un impianto a osmosi inversa da 1500litri al giorno,il CRO 400 è arrivato perfettamente imballato , semplicissimo da montare e funziona davvero bene per ogni litro di acqua prodotta(meno di un minuto)ne scarta due circa con 400... microsiemens in ingresso lo abbassa 67 veramente soddisfatto,i ricambi costano relativamente poco,consigiatissimoread more

I have two RO600 osmotic filtration systems, in different houses, both drawing from a 100m bore hole in Portugal. The water from the bore hole is probably safe, as far as I know, but it is mineral rich and *may* contain other undesirables, such as... the weedkiller glyphosate, which is heavily used here.
The systems are brilliant, the water comes out clear and taste free, and is easier to drink than any other water I have tried. With a cheap electronic tester, I found that the RO water had less particulates than mountain spring water (from Facha, Viana do Castelo) and less than distilled water from the supermarket. Consequently I also use it in my solar power battery bank without hesitation.
I needed some spare parts recently, they were sent FOC and with free delivery from Ireland (not UK after Brexit). The customer service has been faultless (thanks Steve).read more
