How much solution I use?
Safely handle and use SofTec
Softec is a diluted Phosphoric Acid. Please read the safety data sheet (MSDS) supplied. Ovoid contact with skins. Store in unopened containers under cool, dry conditions. Do not store with or close to strong bases. Keep out of reach from children.

Pour a single measure into your water softener and when the salt is low and stir the water and salt solution. Run a regeneration cycle. Repeat if necessary. If there is any smell or taste from your water after the process then run another regeneration cycle until you are happy that the mixture has been washed from the system.

Two months ago I bought and installed a water softener (type W2B500)So far everything works perfectly and flawlessly.The salt consumption is minimal, as is the rinsing moisture.No errors, nor shortcomings.The company follows everything closely,... and provides feedback and support if necessary.The only thing that I have changed and added is an extra shut-off valve, with drain valve, so that I can more easily monitor and control the water softness. (see picture).An idea for the next version: a sensor and notification on the app that salt level needs to be topped up is also a nice gadget/addition.But anyway: An example of service! and solid product!read more

Nach langen Googeln im Net habe ich mich für die Water2Bay Anlage entschieden.Sie läuft bis jetzt seit 3 Wochen ohne Probleme . Anfänglich hat das Wasser irgendwie moderig geschmeckt, aber nach 2 Spülungen die ich von Hand angestoßen habe kann... ich keinen Unterschied mehr feststellen.Über die Haltbarkeit usw. kann ich heute leider noch nichts sagen werde ich aber in nem halben Jahr nachholen. Ich habe die Härte von über 15dH auf 5-7dH eingestellt siehe Bilder. Wenn Ihr überlegt eine Enthärtungsanlage zu kaufen sprecht bitte mit dem Installateur vorher darüber. Bei mir im Haus habe ich alles in Edelstahl somit habe ich keinen Lochfraß wenn der dH Wert sehr niedrig ist. Gruß M.W.read more

Just purchased the W2B800 Water Softener, my diy installation is now complete it's working well. The unit is well put together and given the price comparison with others it represents excellent value.Whilst there are just the two of us in the house... we do occasionally have up to 8 or more, in addition our consumption is around half a cubic metre a day and we therefore chose the larger unit as we are not constrained by the need for it to go under the sink and our old unit (20 years old) could only cope with 1300 litres between regenerations. It will be interesting to see how the W2B800 performs over the long term but for now, at least, things auger well on that front.read more

I bought W2B200 water softener system last year from water2buy. I appointed a plumber to install the system as I am pretty useless at DIY, but he mentioned it was straight forward to install. The videos for troubleshooting are exceptionally... helpful.The plumber did not not turn the valves on (by mistake), hence the system was not working. I got in touch with water2buy technical team,zdenek helped me with getting my system up and running within no time. On request I was sent extra water testing strips. Having been pestered by Harveys multiple times to have the water softner replaced, I wanted to look at alternates to the ones that work on salt slabs and at a price I consider reasonable. Bought the Water2Buy model WTB110 to replace the old mechanical water softener, which had broken down after seven years (not a Water2Buy machine). The WTB model was a lot cheaper, and flushing out the limescale controlled by an electric timer, and... so far has worked perfectly. I also registered within 30 days, admittedly after some minor snags with email confirmation, to claim the seven year guarantee, a big plus. Fitting and setting up was relatively straightforward as the plumbing was already there for the old machine, and the online video was invaluable. I had to call on customer service a couple of times, for some technical advice, and to get a replacement for the cover which had been damaged in transit. Price, delivery, support and back-up have all been excellent - no hesitation in recommending this company, its products and people.read more

The unit will eventually be housed in a cupboard however it doesn’t look out of... place sitting on a temporary plinth in the utility room. Ich bin der Funktion des Geräts bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Die Installation war überschaubar und die Einstellungen mit der BNT Bedienungsanleitung auch machbar. Die Installation des Montageblock musste ein Installateur machen (Pressmuffen und... Kunststoffleitungen) der Rest war relativ einfach. Der Salzverbrauch war bisher 2 Säcke auf 3 Monate bei einem 4 Personenhaushalt. Alle sind begeistert vom weichem Wasser , vorher 21 dh jetzt 7 dh.Folgende Punkte sind dennoch Verbesserungsbedürftig:- Verpackung ; Packet war beschädigt wie bei vielen Anderen (Grund billige Verpackung) besseres Material und ein Kantenschutz wären gut . Die Diskussion mit dem Packet dienst müsste nicht sein , nach schauen ob die Ware beschädigt ist, ist auf jeden Fall anzuraten (grüne Abdeckhaube defekt ?).- Eine Aussagekräftige Bedienungsanleitung wäre sinnvoll , andere Könnens auch (BNT)- Kunststoffverschraubungen am Steuerventil , da wir am falschem Ende gespart.- DVGW Zertifizierung wäre nicht schlecht , der Installateur sagt er darf die Anlage nicht anschließen.read more

Tolles Gerät zum kleinen Preis. Macht was es soll. Salzverbrauch ist unterhalb dessen, was ich selbst vermutet habe. Bis jetzt (6 Wochen), habe ich erst einen halben 25 kg sack verbraucht. Einstellung des Härtegrades macht sich am besten mit einem... Gesamthärte Messbesteck, was es hier bei amazon für ca. 10 Euro gibt. Beim Water2buy Anschlußset mit Gewebeschlauch würde ich persönlich abraten und lieber im deutschen Fachhandel die Gewebeschläuche kaufen. Die Anlage selbst kann wirklich durch Nichthandwerker installierrt werden, allerdings Grundkenntnisse vom Sanitär müssen vorhanden sein.read more

Current review is mainly for purchase and installation process:I had a very good experience of the whole purchase and installation process. I bought the WB200 after much considerations and whatever doubts I had Steven cleared them over a call... before I purchased it. I had gone for the deal for WB200 + drinking water filter + installation. I found this was the best price offered as I had checked with some plumbers directly as well if I bought it on Amazon.The installation was done by a W2B authorised dealer and they were very good and understanding during the whole scheduling process. The installation engineer was on time, very friendly and got all materials needed for installation (there was something missing which he himself procured as well). He explained everything in detail and also explained what needs to be done in case there was some other work to be done later on etc.Overall very happy so far with the sales and installation. J'avais une eau très dure mais c'était avant.... je... dois encore maitriser certains réglages notamment pour le petit gout salé qu'a l'eau. Ce n'est pas désagréable mais peut géner un peu. A priori l'installation d'un filtre à cartouche en sortie d'assoucisseur peut régler ce problème.Pour résumer.... ALLEZ Y LES YEUX FERMES !! Installation rapide et produit TRES EFFICACE. I got my reverse osmosis filter from water2buy good few years ago. Had to get help to install it at first as I'm not a plumber, but ever since then, I'm changing the filters all by myself and enjoy the pure water from the tab. We use it to cook and... drink and my kettle has no limescale at all! Once had a problem with pressure, but Steven resolved the issue immediately and helped me all the way!

If only all companies were as good as this one. The after sales service is excellent, it’s just like old companies should be. When I bought my water softener I also purchased a pair of flexible connection hoses. I subsequently found I didn’t need... them and emailed the company to see if they’ll accept a return for a refund. To my surprise they told me that it was an economical for them to collect the hoses, I could keep them and they would refund me anyway. Zdenek, person who dealt with this for me couldn’t have been more helpful, he kept me informed throughout. The free delivery to Spain was super-fast. The packet arrived in perfect condition. The initial instructions are quite simple and adequate. I had a couple of doubts on the set-up which were dealt with immediately by W2B. Installation was very simple... and and the resulting change in water quality almost unbelievable. Within 24 hours the Test strips had gone from 4 bars maximum calcium to 4 bars of low calcium. I am talking about model 400.
My only criticism of water2buy is that they should give more information on maintenance e.g. when do we have to clean/change the resin ? I've seen something about this on you-tube so I hope to find out before it becomes necessary. For the moment I am a very satisfied customer.read more

Very cheap compared to the competition yet still very good service. Was offered free installation as I spoke to them directly through their website. Original plumber couldn't make the appointment so they organised another from out of catchment 2... hours away after some 'encouragement'. Poor guy had a very small space to work with but got it done, and drove himself to nearby store to get any parts. Small leak after he left but he drove back about 20 mins to sort it. still running ok after a year. smell coming from salt blocks since i deep cleaned and cleaned the resin but am waiting for a call back to talk it through. Recommended to friends and family especially if in a new build so your new pipes can stay like new.read more

Got it installed by a plumber. Very tricky and difficult installation as the apparatus was installed in a different location. 4+ hours spent by an engineer. He was very patient and made sure that he does everything right first time. Extremy... pleased.

I had my W2B 200 for about 5 years and it had given soft water without any problems. I then suffered a power surge that fried the control board. I contacted the company and was expecting to hear that it was outside the warranty so they couldn't... help. Instead they sent me a new control board and when this didn't fix the problem they sent a complete new Control Head. I have never dealt with a more customer friendly and knowledgeable team. They go above and beyond for there customers and I have recommended them to all of my friends.

Vraiment très satisfait ! J'ai acheté un W2B200 sur Amazon. Après avoir vu les différents commentaires, j'ai voulu tenter ma chance et je ne suis vraiment pas déçu. Tout ce qui est dit est vrai. J'avais une eau très dure mais c'était avant.... je... dois encore maitriser certains réglages notamment pour le petit gout salé qu'a l'eau. Ce n'est pas désagréable mais peut gêner un peu. A priori l'installation d'un filtre à cartouche en sortie d'adoucisseur peut régler ce problème.

I ordered the W2B800 unit from Amazon and have been using it for around 1.5-2 months now. The unit was delivered in quick time, and has been fairly straight-forward (for my builder) to install. There were a couple of pipe fittings that were the... wrong size (though I ordered what was recommended by W2B), their local representative (Steve) was quick to re-order the correct size, and no cost to me. He's also been very responsive and helpful - both pre (answering my queries) and post sale (with set up & configuration guidance). The softener itself works excellently, and the water which is supplied at around 280-300ppm is now "very soft". In summary, great value for money, good quality product and excellent service.read more

Back then, my wife was a distributor of another water purification products supplier and had a water testing kit to test and show potential customers the quality of the tap water and the one purified by a reverse osmosis system.
The kit uses two electrodes in a glass of tap water for a few minutes and you don't want to see (or maybe you want) what the water turns into in the glass - a black, muddy, disgusting liquid with a nasty smell. This is the tap water we drink in Ireland (or, I guess, the majority of the people do, because I and my family don't - we use reverse osmosis system from Water2buy).
The same test performed on a glass of purified with the system water returns crystal clear results! It tastes clean. Since then I have tried only a few times to taste the tap water and the taste is repulsive to me. I think there's no need to say more.
However, I can say more about the customer experience with Water2buy and their excellent customer service. They are an Irish company to trust. Always promptly answer queries and solve issues quickly and efficiently to the customer satisfaction (and I really mean this)! I bought a new house in the country 2 years ago,and after 2 months blocked showers,red stains in sinks,toilets etc.
I got Sample of my Water tested in local laboratory and was told I had serious Hardness and Iron in my Water.Nobody in the House... would drink it as it looked putrited.

Softec is a diluted Phosphoric Acid. Please read the safety data sheet (MSDS) supplied. Ovoid contact with skins. Store in unopened containers under cool, dry conditions. Do not store with or close to strong bases. Keep out of reach from children.

Pour a single measure into your water softener and when the salt is low and stir the water and salt solution. Run a regeneration cycle. Repeat if necessary. Two months ago I bought and installed a water softener (type W2B500)So far everything works perfectly and flawlessly.The salt consumption is minimal, as is the rinsing moisture.No errors, nor shortcomings.The company follows everything closely,... and provides feedback and support if necessary.The only thing that I have changed and added is an extra shut-off valve, with drain valve, so that I can more easily monitor and control the water softness. (see picture).An idea for the next version: a sensor and notification on the app that salt level needs to be topped up is also a nice gadget/addition.But anyway: An example of service! and solid product!read more

Nach langen Googeln im Net habe ich mich für die Water2Bay Anlage entschieden.Sie läuft bis jetzt seit 3 Wochen ohne Probleme . Anfänglich hat das Wasser irgendwie moderig geschmeckt, aber nach 2 Spülungen die ich von Hand angestoßen habe kann... ich keinen Unterschied mehr feststellen.Über die Haltbarkeit usw. kann ich heute leider noch nichts sagen werde ich aber in nem halben Jahr nachholen. Ich habe die Härte von über 15dH auf 5-7dH eingestellt siehe Bilder. Wenn Ihr überlegt eine Enthärtungsanlage zu kaufen sprecht bitte mit dem Installateur vorher darüber. Bei mir im Haus habe ich alles in Edelstahl somit habe ich keinen Lochfraß wenn der dH Wert sehr niedrig ist. Gruß M.W.read more

Just purchased the W2B800 Water Softener, my diy installation is now complete it's working well. The unit is well put together and given the price comparison with others it represents excellent value.Whilst there are just the two of us in the house... we do occasionally have up to 8 or more, in addition our consumption is around half a cubic metre a day and we therefore chose the larger unit as we are not constrained by the need for it to go under the sink and our old unit (20 years old) could only cope with 1300 litres between regenerations. It will be interesting to see how the W2B800 performs over the long term but for now, at least, things auger well on that front.read more

I bought W2B200 water softener system last year from water2buy. I appointed a plumber to install the system as I am pretty useless at DIY, but he mentioned it was straight forward to install. The videos for troubleshooting are exceptionally... helpful.The plumber did not not turn the valves on (by mistake), hence the system was not working. I got in touch with water2buy technical team,zdenek helped me with getting my system up and running within no time. On request I was sent extra water testing strips. Having been pestered by Harveys multiple times to have the water softner replaced, I wanted to look at alternates to the ones that work on salt slabs and at a price I consider reasonable. WB200 installed in August 2019 by Water2Buy's North London service. Fitting took around 30 minutes, and the plumber also set up the recharge setting to fortnightly. Bought the Water2Buy model WTB110 to replace the old mechanical water softener, which had broken down after seven years (not a Water2Buy machine). The WTB model was a lot cheaper, and flushing out the limescale controlled by an electric timer, and... so far has worked perfectly. I also registered within 30 days, admittedly after some minor snags with email confirmation, to claim the seven year guarantee, a big plus. Fitting and setting up was relatively straightforward as the plumbing was already there for the old machine, and the online video was invaluable. I had to call on customer service a couple of times, for some technical advice, and to get a replacement for the cover which had been damaged in transit. Price, delivery, support and back-up have all been excellent - no hesitation in recommending this company, its products and people.read more

The unit will eventually be housed in a cupboard however it doesn’t look out of... place sitting on a temporary plinth in the utility room. Ich bin der Funktion des Geräts bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Die Installation war überschaubar und die Einstellungen mit der BNT Bedienungsanleitung auch machbar. Die Installation des Montageblock musste ein Installateur machen (Pressmuffen und... Kunststoffleitungen) der Rest war relativ einfach. Der Salzverbrauch war bisher 2 Säcke auf 3 Monate bei einem 4 Personenhaushalt. Alle sind begeistert vom weichem Wasser , vorher 21 dh jetzt 7 dh.Folgende Punkte sind dennoch Verbesserungsbedürftig:- Verpackung ; Packet war beschädigt wie bei vielen Anderen (Grund billige Verpackung) besseres Material und ein Kantenschutz wären gut . Die Diskussion mit dem Packet dienst müsste nicht sein , nach schauen ob die Ware beschädigt ist, ist auf jeden Fall anzuraten (grüne Abdeckhaube defekt ?).- Eine Aussagekräftige Bedienungsanleitung wäre sinnvoll , andere Könnens auch (BNT)- Kunststoffverschraubungen am Steuerventil , da wir am falschem Ende gespart.- DVGW Zertifizierung wäre nicht schlecht , der Installateur sagt er darf die Anlage nicht anschließen.read more

Tolles Gerät zum kleinen Preis. Macht was es soll. Salzverbrauch ist unterhalb dessen, was ich selbst vermutet habe. Bis jetzt (6 Wochen), habe ich erst einen halben 25 kg sack verbraucht. Einstellung des Härtegrades macht sich am besten mit einem... Gesamthärte Messbesteck, was es hier bei amazon für ca. 10 Euro gibt. Beim Water2buy Anschlußset mit Gewebeschlauch würde ich persönlich abraten und lieber im deutschen Fachhandel die Gewebeschläuche kaufen. Die Anlage selbst kann wirklich durch Nichthandwerker installierrt werden, allerdings Grundkenntnisse vom Sanitär müssen vorhanden sein.read more

Current review is mainly for purchase and installation process:I had a very good experience of the whole purchase and installation process. I bought the WB200 after much considerations and whatever doubts I had Steven cleared them over a call... before I purchased it. I had gone for the deal for WB200 + drinking water filter + installation. I found this was the best price offered as I had checked with some plumbers directly as well if I bought it on Amazon.The installation was done by a W2B authorised dealer and they were very good and understanding during the whole scheduling process. The installation engineer was on time, very friendly and got all materials needed for installation (there was something missing which he himself procured as well). He explained everything in detail and also explained what needs to be done in case there was some other work to be done later on etc.Overall very happy so far with the sales and installation. J'avais une eau très dure mais c'était avant.... je... dois encore maitriser certains réglages notamment pour le petit gout salé qu'a l'eau. Ce n'est pas désagréable mais peut géner un peu. A priori l'installation d'un filtre à cartouche en sortie d'assoucisseur peut régler ce problème.Pour résumer.... ALLEZ Y LES YEUX FERMES !! Installation rapide et produit TRES EFFICACE.
